4 ways to commit to your yoga practice

Even with the best of intentions, we all sometimes struggle to stay consistent with our yoga practice. Here are four ways to help you commit to your yoga practice:
Set a realistic goal Whether that is to practice one, two, three times in the week, and which days. You don't have to choose which practice. But mark it down in your calendar, and keep that appointment with yourself.
Work to your strengths Are you more likely to practice in the morning, before you go about your day? Or do you feel the pull to practice later in the day? Work to your strengths - there is no point committing to a 6am practice everyday if you know you don't function well in the morning.
Keep it in sight Your yoga mat, that is. The less effort it is to set up, the easier it is to stick to your commitment. If you have the space, keep your yoga mat rolled out, ready to go! If not, keep it where you can see it, and make it minimal effort to set up. You don't need a fancy or aesthetic space, you just need room to move.
Plan ahead Well, sort of. This one is for my decision paralysis buddies, like me. If you're practicing online, how about you "favourite" or note down practices that you loved, or want to do. That way, when the time rolls around and you have decided you want to do a fiery vinyasa class, you've got one to go and don't end up scrolling for an hour.
Happy practicing, yogis!

With love,
